These homeowners were looking for a complete backyard overhaul, where the backyard was not only a fun place for the family but also conscious of preserving the century-old wooden fence, creating tight working conditions. This beautiful backyard and pool renovation was completed in Barrie’s very own picturesque East end.

Following the approval of all of the necessary renovation permits, the backyard renovation gets underway. The demolition process began using heavy machinery to remove the previous inground pool and to create a fresh canvas for the installation of the new inground fibreglass pool.

When the demolition was complete, the first step in this backyard transformation was to complete base preparations for the new fibreglass pool shell. During this process, the oversized pool plumbing system was also pre-installed.

The fibreglass pool shell was then craned into place. The land around the pool is levelled using non-organic clean backfill. This backfill is used as the pool’s patio and we install custom patio drains to ensure proper water drainage.

The patio was built and designed using multiple levels to maximize outdoor space for entertainment purposes. The patio area included products such as court stone pavers under the covered breezeway and Windmere patio pavers were used on the main patio section. Black natural stone pool coping and an upper cedar deck with a hot tub, elevating the deck to the home’s natural viewpoint of Kempenfelt Bay.

To bring the whole project together, high-efficiency Hayward swimming pool equipment were installed. Additional finishings include pool lighting, landscape lighting, new pool cover, outdoor audio speakers, planting beds and finally sodding.

This home in picturesque east-end Barrie now has a brilliant backyard to entertain family and friends.
