The Solution

The compact backyard can still fit a pool! You don’t have to have a big backyard to own a swimming pool— and if you do have a big backyard, the pool doesn’t have to take up the entire thing. We’ve done plenty of projects in less-than-enormous backyards where homeowners have squeezed in a pool successfully. As we know, even a small swimming pool provides endless hours of fun for the entire family!

The Results

For this particular backyard in Alliston, we went with a rectangular shape to allow for an adequate deck and sitting area. Complementing the space beautifully, this long linear pool was installed and designed with unistone coping and lovely grey-blue liner. The shape of this small pool adds a stunning focal point to the backyard, providing additional life to the exterior of the home. Aside from that, because of its small size, it is extremely economical for the homeowners to operate, and can be heated more effectively.

To finish it off, we created a touch of gardens surrounding the swimming pool, adding warmth and beauty to this ultra-low maintenance space. Concrete patio was installed throughout the pool decking, along with beautiful river stone on the garden surface, and natural stone steps for a serene feel and look. Our clients were thrilled with the outcome!
